Shimmering, gorgeous soft hemp/silk satin fabric. Off-white eggshell cream color. Woven with the silk satin on the outside, hemp on the inside. Hand washable, or dry clean. Recommend to pre-shrink before sewing, since the hemp content will shrink slightly depending on water temperature. Wash cool or warm, handwash or delicate cycle, no chlorine bleach. Best to wash folded inside a lingere bag. Oxygen bleach is ok. Use a good wool wash like the Kookaburra we supply, or an organic shampoo. Minimal fabric softener, or just add vinegar to the rinse water. Air dry, do not put in the dryer. Wash garments, pillowcases inside out and avoid wringing, scrubbing, or twisting. Iron from wrong side with steam. Not officially PFD, but does dye well.
This is the same hemp/silk we use in our luxury bedding. Make your own pillowcases, or use it for weddings, lingere, pajamas & loungewear, clothing. Sold by the yard (36 inches). Width is 57 inches. However many yards you order, it will come in one contiguous piece.
